About Me
I am a kind and compassionate person with a youthful and upbeat spirit, qualities that have been appreciated in all of my previous jobs with young people. I am thoughtful and patient, aware of when to listen to a young person and when to assert my role as a responsible adult. I feel that striking this fine balance is key when working with young people. I write for theatre, film and TV and practice dance and yoga in my free time. These are immersive skills I have been able to pass on and enjoy with young people I have cared for, developing and reinforcing team-work skills, socialisation and confidence boosting. I also love cooking and cleaning which should be a big plus for families all round!
My Experience
I have 15 years of experience with young people both in primary and secondary education. I began babysitting at 14 for a family friend's children and as a consequence of being competent and good at it, I had that job for two years and was recommended to two additional families. In addition to babysitting for three families, I secured a job at a primary school in Bristol and worked at their after-school club from 15-20, working my way up to senior play-worker, one of the most responsible roles within the organisation. Alongside my job at the after school club, I ran drama workshops on my weekends to 8-13 year olds and gained a lot of experience in T.I.E (Theatre in Education) where I would go on to hone my craft up until this day. At present, I work at Inspired Directions School, a secondary school for vulnerable young people in East London. I am a learning mentor and work closely with three students, alongside supporting classes across the board as a Teachers Assistant.

GCSES (11) , A-Levels (3) and BA honours in Theatre, Film and Television (University of Bristol)
First Aid Trained, DBS Checked
