About Me
I'm a warm, sensitive, kind, and open-minded person, looking to help families of all types and backgrounds out during the summer where I am off university. I can possibly continue during term time if needed although I will be less flexible from mid September onward. I can provide support for parents that need help with dropping off and/or collecting their children from nursery or school. I can take the children out for daily activities, such as taking the children to the park (when the Glaswegian weather allows) or museum/heritage trips (if it does not), or simply play board games at home. I am originally from Denmark, but I moved here in 2020 for university. I have been in English-speaking education systems for 5 years now, so I speak and write English fluently, enabling me to help out with homework as well if needed!
My Experience
I have experience from working at a summer camp for 7-15 year-old children, buying, preparing and serving food (COVID-safe), and doing daily outdoor activities, such as taking them to the beach, playing volleyball and football, or simply chatting. I really loved the time I spent with the kids, so I am seeking to spend more time taking care of children of all ages.
My Qualifications
I am currently undertaking an undergraduate joint honours degree at the Univeristy of Glasgow, (MA) History and Politics (SocSci).
My Availability
I am very flexible, but I volunteer Tuesday nights and possibly some time between Thursday-Sunday. Since I decide on the exact day and time, I can organize this around your schedule!
