About Me
I'm a fourth year student at the University of Glasgow, studying Geography with previous nannying experience. Currently doing ad-hoc babysitting for a couple families in the West End. I consider myself to be a kind and creative individual. My main hobbies Include travelling (having spent my summer backpacking around Central America), sports and jewellery making. At university i'm part of the surf and hockey clubs so love staying active. I also run my own small online business selling jewellery and so often take part in local Glasgow, and also Edinburgh markets.
My Experience
I was a nanny for a 2 year old boy this last spring, from February through May. I therefore am DBS checked and First Aid trained. This role included, taking him to the park regularly, planning lots of fun activities, changing his nappy, cleaning him and serving food. On top of this, I have been babysitting for the last few years, mainly local families. The kids I have babysat for ranged from the ages of 1-13 and as part of this I have had to help them with homework, cook meals, plan activities and bathe them. I also regularly stay over when the parents are away and am in charge of picking the kids up/getting them to school. I also have experience tutoring children aged 5-7 so am happy to help with homework or give some extra help if it’s needed. Before moving to Glasgow for University I was a young leader at my local brownie unit for over three years and I use to help out with physical education at a primary school.
My Qualifications
I am DBS checked from my previous nanny role and also First Aid trained. Can also provide references.
My Availability
I’ll be graduating from glasgow university this summer, with my classes finishing in May. I’ll be moving back to Edinburgh and will be available from June. Available in Glasgow until the end of May.
