My Summary
About Me
I have returned to Northern Ireland after teaching early years students in the Middle East for the past
seven years. It has been valuable experience for me and I have learned a lot about myself both
professionally and personally. Teaching abroad has helped me to develop organizational and
communication skills, as well as the ability manage group settings. The ability to command a room
and to keep an audience engaged is highly desirable and as an Early Years teacher I have been
doing exactly that up to six times a day running classes (including P.E, English and Science and
Moral Education).
In order to prepare myself for working with various cultural background’s I ensured to express interest
in the ethnic background of your students. For examples, I encouraged your students to share
information about their ethnic background as a means of fostering a trusting relationship with fellow
classmates. This helped me to analyse and celebrate differences in traditions, beliefs, and social
behaviour. In addition to this, I also took the time to learn the proper pronunciation of student names
and express interest in the etymology of interesting and diverse names
