Maria
Babysitter in London: Islington
About Me
I’m a warm, enthusiastic, and caring individual who absolutely loves working with children. I’ve always had a natural connection with kids and find so much joy in helping them learn, play, and grow in a safe and fun environment.
I’m responsible, patient, and reliable — qualities I believe are essential in childcare. I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident and at ease when choosing someone to look after their little ones, so I always show up on time, ready to engage with energy and attention.
I enjoy planning creative and age-appropriate activities that support development — from arts and crafts and storytelling to outdoor play and gentle learning games. I’m also happy to help with mealtimes, school routines, light tidying, and anything else that makes family life run more smoothly.
Above all, I respect each child as an individual — listening to their needs, encouraging their strengths, and offering a calm, positive presence.
My Experience
I have over six years of experience working with children of all ages, from newborns (as young as 1 month old) up to 12 years old. During this time, I have worked as a babysitter for several different families, always creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged to grow.
Alongside babysitting, I am also a drama school assistant, supporting children during creative and educational activities. This role helps me develop strong communication skills and teaches me how to engage children through play, imagination, and structured learning, while encouraging confidence and self-expression.
I also have experience working in summer camps, where I was responsible for groups of children with different allergies and varying levels of learning ability. This required a high level of organisation, awareness, and adaptability, ensuring every child felt included and well cared for. These experiences strengthened my ability to manage groups, follow routines, and respond calmly to different situations.
