Hiya!
My name is Jess, I live with my Husband, Ben, our son, Harvey (4), our daughter, Erin (11months) and our border collie, Willow (3).
I decided to set up as a childminder in 2022 after trying to get back into work once I'd had my son.
Someone suggested I look into childminding and it's been the perfect solution for both myself and my family!
I did study Health and Social care at GCSE level and have babysat for friends and family regularly since I was 15, but chose a different career path at college before circling back around to where I am today.
I am also currently studying my Bsc(Hons) in psychology with the Open Uni :)
I would love to provide parents with the kind of security and comfort that we sought out when trying to find somewhere for our son during my return to work, whilst also providing a loving home from home for your littles!
We love to get out every day so usually have a busy out and about morning, with the afternoons being spent at home so that the nappers can have some proper nap time until it's time for the school run!
I do accept funded placements for those eligible as well as tax free funding, which all working parents qualify for, so please don't hesitate to get in touch if we can help!
Please note: we also have a doggo and fish!

My Experience
I currently hold all of the relevant childminding qualifications, am dbs checked and on the update service, and hold my paediatric first aid certificate!
I have a school aged child and baby of my own who were born march 2021 and September 2024, and plenty of personal experience prior to becoming a mummy myself as I have been babysitting since I was 15 (that’s almost half of my life now) and have siblings who are 1.5, 9 and 12 years younger than me, so I helped with the youngest while I was growing up too!

I am happy to prove care 7-8am mon-fri aswell as 4-5pm tues-Thurs, this will be charged at my out of hours rate.

I drop off to ditton lodge primary school mon-fri and will be collecting from kettlefields tues/weds/thurs.

My little one has been at Little Squirrels Day care for a few months now, and can't recommend them enough! They came to the rescue when we had to change childminders urgently. They go outside a lot, to groups and do a lot of focused learning activities, which improve her skills. Jess is thoroughly trained and so lovely, my little one really loves going here! And with the app she uses, I am constantly updated with her naps, nappies and food! Highly recommend!
