About Me
My name is Freya and I am 23 years old, and I am currently working in a primary school as a Teaching Assistant, specialising in SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental health needs) support. I am looking to babysit in evenings and weekends, whenever help is needed! I am also able to provide some after school support, if in the Didsbury area, as well as childcare during half terms and school holidays. I love kids and I would love to help out a family in anyway I can! I have extensive experience working with children across broad age ranges, with 3 years experience working in nurseries before my current role in primary school, as well as a years experience working in CAMHS with children between 8-18.
My Experience
During my degree in psychology, I worked as a psychological assistant with children and young people for a year in the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). This was such a rewarding and incredible experience, and inspired me into a career working with children and their mental health. I have also worked at a private psychological clinic specialising in young people and their mental health. Alongside this experience, I have worked for multiple years in nurseries, caring and looking after children from 4 months old to 5 years old. Currently, I am working in a primary school, offering particular support in emotional regulation for children with additional needs. I therefore have both extensive practical experience working with children of all ages, as well as an in-depth psychological understanding of childcare and child development.
My Qualifications
I have a 1st class degree with honours in psychology.
My Availability
I am free in the evenings, and I am also very willing to work for the occasional weekend if needed!
