About Me
I’m an enthusiastic, qualified primary school teacher with a specialism in early years. I enjoy engaging a wide variety of learners by using a creative and diverse approach to teaching.
I understand that all children learn in different ways and therefore I have developed my teaching style to suit the needs of the individual child.
Since going on maternity leave in 2020, I have had two children and I am now eager to continue my love of teaching in the form of tutoring. I have a dedicated room in my house which is child friendly with a variety of stimulating resources to ensure my tutoring sessions are fun and engaging. Alternatively I can tutor from the comfort of your own home if you live within a 5 mile radius from me.

My Experience
I have taught within KS1 for 4 years. In Year 1 I developed a real passion for teaching phonics and early reading and in Year 2 I enjoyed enabling the children to become confident and ready to take their KS1 Year 2 SATS papers. Before becoming a teacher I worked in costume design at Angels Costumiers and the Royal Shakespeare Company. My background in the creative industry is something that I believe has really helped me to develop a unique way of teaching that allows all of my pupils to learn successfully.

A Levels: Art A, Textiles B, English Literature B
BA Hons: Performance Design and Practice 2.1
QTS: qualified teacher status
