About Me

I am a bubbly, friendly, hard-working person who has always had a passion for working with young people, whether that be infants, children or adolescents. I have consistently chosen educational and career paths that have allowed me to work with and learn about children, and I feel that my easy-going, caring and empathic nature makes me a great person to know. I also have training in drama and acting, so I love being creative and having a laugh.

I want to enjoy a flexible and enjoyable way of working whilst completing my doctorate, and thought babysitting would be a great way to continue working with and for young people and families whilst I train.

My Experience

I am currently undertaking a professional doctorate in Counselling Psychology. I have an array of previous work, volunteering experience, and training with infants, children and adolescents. This included working as a Teaching Assistant, Reading mentor, and Mental Health Advocate and Educator for SEN schools working with children who have social, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs. I was also an Assistant Psychologist for Children's Social Care for 3 years, working therapeutically and creatively with children and families. I have training in mediation, conflict resolution, de-escalation, mental health support and attachment for working with children, families, and offenders.

My Qualifications

I do not hold any childcare qualifications. I am currently babysitting regularly for a family on Tuesday mornings and have ample experience working with children of all ages in different settings.

I am currently completing my doctorate to become a Counselling Psychologist, and hold a degree and masters in Psychology. I also have a Level 3 BTEC in Drama and Acting.

My Availability

I am at university and on clinical placement 4 days a week during term time. Out of term time I have more availability, and can be flexible overall.
