About Me

I am recently retired from my post in further education as Lecturer and Assessor in childcare subjects, and also my post with SQA in quality assurance. I have an adult daughter and son, and one granddaughter. I have a fair bit of experience working with children, in different capacities.

My Experience

I am qualified to degree level and postgraduate in Childhood Studies, have many years experience assessing and lecturing in childcare, and prior to that I worked in the early years sector. I have current PVG (Disclosure Scotland). I have led teams providing respite services for families with children requiring additional support; I have led teams providing school/family support; I have worked in nurseries, and out of school groups. I have worked for local authorities.

My Qualifications

BA Childhood Studies, PgDip (Post-grad diploma);
PDA Teaching in Scotland's colleges. I can show my qualifications, and current PVG to any prospective parent.

My Availability

I am flexible except for Wednesdays as I am on grandma duties then picking up granddaughter from school and taking care of her till 6pm.
