About Me
Hello and welcome,
I am a young adult (25) that has personal experience with new-borns, toddlers, young children, young adults and the elderly. Within these categories I have also looked after persons professionally whom have serious mental and physical needs as well as clients with dementia and nursing requirements.
After years of training I am currently employed as an Activities Coordinator & Organiser (ACO) within a Dementia Nursing Home. Previous to conducting meaningful activities I was a Head Chef and catered for many of the young and elderly for 7 years.
The experience I have with the young children come from when I was lucky enough to become an uncle to 3 wonderful children. From when they where born till the ages of 8-12, I gained much knowledge and skill in looking after new-borns and helping them develop to the ages they are now.
Much of the skills needed to look after young ones has come from my professional experience with the elderly whom have dementia. Understanding how a fragile mind works, carefully maintaining discipline though not being that of a strict headmaster. Having a concern for people and treating everybody with respect no matter the age or challenges they face, is a practical skill I value the most.
I would like to be that of a stable role model for young persons and someone whom can offer guidance and support to families also. Organisation is key within a home that looks after a family.
