Looking For A Early Years Practitioner
About Me
Thank you very much for the level of interest in my post and for the thoughtful and valuable advice shared. I appreciate the engagement and consideration. I have amended my request accordingly based on the guidance provided.
We are looking for a regular weekend teacher/nanny to help our small family of three. My daughter just turned four — she’s easygoing, loves art & craft, reading and imaginative play. We have lots of board games and interactive, educational toys at home and we're ideally looking for someone who naturally enjoys engaging children through play-based teaching and learning - example helping her explore phonics, numbers in a fun natural way and reading rather than just free play (though of course that has its place too).
Someone either currently working with a nursery or someone who has experience keeping children engaged in a fun and educational way would be a wonderful match. This would be a regular, long-term arrangement, and we are committed to being good employers: communicative, respectful and kind.
The role is Cambridge-based and the hours would initially be in the afternoons, from 2–5 p.m. to start with, we could consider expanding hours (min £18 p.h)
If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you!
Thank you again — it is greatly appreciated.

Marisol is warm, caring, and fully engaged when she’s with the children. My daughter absolutely loves spending time with her, and it’s easy to see how comfortable and happy she feels in Marisol’s presence.
Marisol is always punctual, kind and attentive . She brings a lovely balance of gentleness and enthusiasm to her care, creating a nurturing and positive environment.
I would highly recommend Marisol to any family looking for someone dependable and truly dedicated to child care.
