I am 22 years old and love being active and have a passion for being outdoors. I am often walking and cycling so I would enjoy planning lots of outdoor activities if this suited the children. I am very creative with making, drawing, painting so this is something I can bring into their daily activities. I have a passion for nutrition and healthy eating and really enjoy cooking and baking so I can support with meals if this is required. Perhaps the children would enjoy getting involved in the baking. I have a real love for animals and I have 2 guinea pigs called Mabel and Nala and a dog called Marlow.
I have a full driving license and a car, which allows me to travel and assist with school runs.
I am currently flexible and willing to discuss working hours that suit your needs.
My Experience
I am a Newly Qualified Paediatric Nurse and have experience working with children and young people from the age of birth to 18 with various health needs in both a hospital and home setting. I am kind and compassionate and enjoy building trusting and therapeutic relationships with children and their families. I have decided to take a gap before starting a full time nursing job and I’m eager to work one to one with a family to support childcare needs.
Throughout my 3 year degree I gained huge experience as a student working across various hospitals, developing my skills working within multidisciplinary teams and learning to care and support families during their most difficult times. After graduating, I worked for 3 months as a Children’s Community Nurse, visiting children and families in their homes.
I also have experience working as a Nursery Assistant in a Children's nursery. I worked across all rooms, but was mainly in the baby room caring for children from 3 months to 18 months. I really loved this role and I find it incredibly fulfilling being able to help the children learn and explore the world. I had key children where I helped them settle into nursery routine, set goals and monitored their progress while keeping parents informed.
My Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Children's nursing.
I have completed the Paediatric First Aid Training.
