About Me
Hello! I am an academic tutor who has lived abroad in the USA, Taiwan, and Germany. I am also a Law student in London. I have experience and passion for ballet, swimming, tennis, playing classical music, cooking, reading and art. My favorite subject at school was History, and I love to explore different historical interpretations of periods of economic growth, war, and political conflict. I received an International Baccalaureate diploma, practice Mandarin and English fluently, and can offer tutoring services for students in primary school, looking to take the 11+ exams, and preparing for A-levels.
My Experience
Oldest of four children in a Asain-Arab household, so I am familiar with strong family orientation and importance. Youngest child is ten years younger so I have experience with children anywhere from newborns to 17 year olds. When I was younger, I provided volunteer babysitting and preschool services with my Girl Scout Troops.
For tutoring, I have been teaching students since age 15. In that time, I have worked with students from overseas, students that need catching up with their school’s curriculum, and students with special needs (autism, dyslexia, and Down syndrome). I have worked with students as young as 2, and as old as 17.
I offer tutoring for English as a first and second language, as well as History (social sciences), Chemistry, and homework help for core subjects.
My Qualifications
International Baccalaureate diploma under subjects: Higher Level English Language and Literature, Higher Level History, Higher Level Chemistry, Mandarin, French, and Maths
Classically trained Pianist (13 years) and Flutist (8 years)
Competitive Swimmer (basic lifeguard training and swim instructing)
My Availability
Currently available in person on the weekends and weekday mornings. Online availability can be arranged.

Elizabeth has worked as a Mandarin tutor for my young son for a few months now. She is very kind, punctual, enthusiastic and reliable, ensuring that he is doing a variety of activities during the class. My son is always looking forward to his Mandarin lessons now!
