About Me
I am an experienced and hardworking individual, currently working in a school based position.
With a strong head on my shoulders, I approach any task with confidence and positivity, no matter how small or big the task in hand. Punctuality and organisation is something I have been praised for in many roles as well as my ability to multitask.
I pride myself in my ability to build a rapport with children and colleagues. I find nothing more rewarding than making a difference to children’s lives and to help them grow into confident and happy humans. Being energetic is a big part of my personality, although I am very happy to snuggle in a cosy corner with a book, colouring or calm activity to relax. I know that children thrive when in a healthy and nurturing environment, which means having lots of time to embrace the things that children love to do the most, but also unwind with a book or calming time at the end of a busy day. Listening and understanding children and young people is extremely important to me, knowing that they appreciate when an adult takes time to hear what they have to say.
My biggest assets are that that I am full of love, energy and bring fun to all aspects of a child’s day, this makes the children who I support, healthy, happy and thriving.
My Experience
I am currently working at Town Close House Preparatory School in Norwich, in the Pre Prep department, as a Reception Class Teaching Assistant. I have a wide range of knowledge in the Early Years Foundation stage of learning and can provide many actives to support this and further learning. My main duties include assisting with children’s individual needs, support with learning of all different abilities and providing the children with a nurturing and stimulating environment with new and challenging activities, including many outdoor activities in our vast woodland area.
Before supporting my Reception Class, I worked in the Nursery Department. This job included many similar duties as well as building up the children’s confidence to enter Reception.
