My Summary

My Experience

I have babysat for my younger brother and for multiple families in my area in London. I worked up to 10 hours a week for external families; this included cooking meals spending time with them in the evening, and making sure that they went to bed on time. I really enjoyed my babysitting jobs and developed a very strong friendships with the families that I helped. In terms of being a teaching assistant, I spent a year and a half helping a blind English teacher to mark her students work which gave me an excellent insight into the creativity of other young people.
In terms of tutoring, I worked with a blind English teacher and helped her to mark her students work up to a level standard. As a result, I am very proficient in teaching assistance/tutoring. I also received the highest grade in the country for Classics GCSE and I’m able to tutor students in drama, English and history up to a level/highers.

My Qualifications

I received 10 A*s at GCSE and 3 A*s at a level, along with full marks in my extended project qualification on epic poetry. I also was awarded the highest mark in the country for classical civilisation GCSE. I was a drama scholar in sixth form and went through the Oxford university application, process and interview. I also am very proud to run my own creative writing magazine at university and I’m currently working towards a masters degree in English literature at the University of Edinburgh.
