About Me
My husband and I live in Lindfield with our just turning 4yr old daughter and 6yr old cockapoo. My husband works full-time in London and I run my own business from home on a part-time basis. As a family we love walking, art, adventures, festivals and travel. Our daughter is outgoing, confident, headstrong and seems to have a keen interest and affinity with numbers and letters, but enjoys learning in general.
My Requirements
For tuition…
Our daughter is in full-time hours in preschool Monday-Friday and has been since she was 2.5yrs old. Very soon after starting, the preschool advised us that she was already past what they would expect a school age leaver to know and we were encouraged to find someone to work with her so that she can keeping learning at her pace.
She absolutely loves learning and shows a real affinity with numbers and letters in particular. We’ve always done our best to support her learning and teaching her ourselves, but we are also conscious that as we expand on maths and reading, we don’t know how best to explain things to her sometimes and do not want to confuse her while the foundations are laid.
We would like to find someone with experience in teaching younger school age children the current curriculum and it would be a bonus to find someone who could teach her a second language too eg. French, Mandarin, Spanish.
Because of preschool timings, we are looking for someone to come to us for an hour a couple of times a week sometime between 14.45-17.00 on a weekday. If there is flexibility to continue lessons during school holidays this would be great, but not essential.
For babysitting….
We’d love to be able to find someone experienced with the relevant checks who we could call upon for ad hoc babysitting from time to time. Our daughter is a great sleeper and bedtimes are always straightforward and easy! :)
