Hello, my name is Katie and I’m 19 years old. I am patient, fun, caring and flexible. I love kids, pets,sports, cooking, cleaning and having fun!
I’m currently a child health nursing student and looking to gain additional experience with children to help towards my studies.
I have a big interest in sports and have been a competitive/ preforming highland dancer since the age of 3. This has built my confidence and given me lots of experience in meeting and working with new people from all over.
Each child has their own likes/dislikes and I work within this ensuring a child is engaging in an activity they find fun and enjoyable. Each child is unique in their own way and I am adaptable to help each child’s individual needs to the best of my ability.
My Experience
I have fair amount of babysitting experience. I have babysat children from ages 3-15 and I have thoroughly enjoyed it each time!
I grew up in a big family so have plenty experience in looking after siblings, cousins and family friends. One of my closest siblings has autism so I have lots of experience in helping care for him. I cook majority of family meals and I am not a stranger to cleaning.
For the past 5 years I have been a highland dance teacher where I teach a class of 12 young dancers from ages 3-16 and also teach 1-to-1 lessons a few times a week. This has given me lots of experience in dealing with many behaviours and personalities in a big group. I really enjoy teaching and find it rewarding.
I have also done placements during high school in Isobel mair school and st cadocs primary as a classroom assistant. I found both experiences great and formed great relationships with the children in a short space of time.
My Qualifications
I have 3 highers in English, human biology and modern studies as well as 7 national 5’s
I also have a qualification in introduction to nursing. I also have CPR and chocking certificates
My Availability
I am mainly available weekends and evenings but can be flexible.
