About Me
I am a business professional who has been working in the corporate arena for most of my career. I recently resigned from my management position to reset/recharge the batteries. In the meantime, I'd love a job working with children.
I am a godmother to 3 boys in Australia; Jake, 21, Sam,18, and little Ethan, aged 10.
I relocated from Sydney to Scotland in April 2019 and have loved it. No plans to return.
My mother was a midwife and I learned a lot about childcare and babies from her. I consider myself a bit of a baby whisperer and I'm wonderful with kids of all ages. I am extremely maternal and kind.
I'm also a can-do person. Whatever you need, I can get done for you! I am the type of person that will work harder than most as I was raised well with strict parents. If you also need some laundry or cooking or housework done, I'm your girl.
I'm excellent at reading/writing/comprehension (being grammatically correct!), math, drama, art, history and geography. I am a big fan of singing and dancing, too (I used to be a Flamenco dancer).
I enjoy hiking, a healthy lifestyle, exercise, art, museums, and of course, great coffee!
I have a full driving license and flawless driving record. I am very comfortable driving anywhere and everywhere.
My Experience
I have been a live-in nanny whilst working abroad in Germany where I looked after G3, B2, and a set of newborn twins.
Most of my time was spent with the two eldest, getting them to school, activities, play dates, etc and managing the housework, shopping, cooking, laundry and day-to-day planning for kids. They were a no TV household so I'm used to entertaining children in other ways!
I also have lots of experience with babies and many people you could speak with about me. They are all in Australia and Germany, though.
My Qualifications
I don't have formal qualifications but am happy to do first aid courses or alike should a family want this.
My Availability
I would love to work with one family so I can build a good relationship with you all. I am happy to do any hours necessary so please feel free to reach out if in doubt. EG: if you need help over weekends or evenings, we can absolutely chat about this.
