About Me
Ofsted application complete just awaiting a registration visit.
I can offer your child a loving safe environment in which to thrive. I have decided to take early retirement from my role as a senior leader in a special school in order to focus on 1 or 2 children whose parents need to work. I used childminders myself many years ago for my own 2 children so I think I know what you are looking for. I am honest and transparent and will work with you to make sure your child has the best provision I can offer and feels happy and secure. I have a nice home with a safe, enclosed garden. My two adult children live with me at the moment and both work with children and/or vulnerable adults so are fully DBS checked.
I have 2 beautiful working cocker spaniels who are trained to Gold + in the Kennel Club good citizen scheme. They have excellent temperaments but can be crated when necessary.
Ideally I would like to look after a young baby. I will be available as soon as my registration is complete.
My Experience
I have been a teacher for 36 years working firstly with mainstream 3 to 7 year olds and for the last 15 years as a senior leader in a special school for pupils aged 5 to 19.
My Qualifications
I have a Bachelor of Education honours degree and 36 years of teaching experience.
My Availability
Part time and preferably term time only but would consider other.
