Hello! My name is Shannon! I am 20 years old and live in Norwich. I have been working within the childcare sector for 4 years. I am currently a part-time Nanny as well as undergoing my Degree in Childhood Development.
I am a highly organised, resilient, patient person who enjoys working with babies, toddlers and school children. I am passionate about providing rich, varied and spontaneous experiences which actively engage children and develop their learning. I have a kind and caring nature and I enjoy being independent in addition to being a team member. 4 years of experience working with children aged 0-7 years:
• Worked as a full-time Early Years Practitioner in the toddler room
•Worked as a Classroom Assistant in a Year 1 classroom 3 days a week
•Worked as a Childcare Assistant in the baby room 1 day a week
Responsibilities:
•Supported a child with EAL with his English-speaking skills
•Helped raise children's confidence and extend their learning by preparing and delivering mathematics and Literacy lessons to small groups of children in line with the National Curriculum
•Ensured the health, safety and well-being of each child by ensuring good hygiene of the environment such as cleaning the children's hands, preparing mealtimes, sterilising bottles and changing beds
•Planned activities related to the children's next steps that catered to the individual learning needs of the children

Diploma and Certificate in Childcare and Education (grade achieved: A*) in Level 3
