My Requirements

Born in May 2022, our son is an incredibly upbeat, cheerful and boisterous young man. He is extremely inquisitive, loves look at books and playing pee-bo themed games with his cuddly toys. He is just up on his feet and seems to really enjoy heading to the local park for a swing or go on the roundabout. Of course, all parents say their children are no trouble, especially when they're seeking childcare – but truly he is an absolute delight.

We're looking for a female care provider for either 1-to-1 or 1-to-a-few childcare for two half days per week. Both Childminders and Nannies will be considered equally.

Aside from all of the obvious requirements; caring, punctual, reliable, patient and highly experienced in dealing with c. 1 year olds, ideally, we would like this person to be familiar with Montessori learning/teaching methods and implement those throughout the care window.

In terms of food, he is a good eater when presented with what he wants! But does need ALL distractions removed, also when giving expressed milk as he is so keen to look at EVERYTHING apart from drink.

At the moment we have childcare through family means all day Tuesday. We would like to supplement this with any two of the following with the scope for longer days with the right provider:

Monday: 10:00 - 15:00 (5 hours)
Wednesday: 12:00 - 17:00 (5 hours)
Thursday: 10:00 - 15:00 (5 hours)
Friday: 12:00 - 17:00 (5 hours)

Our son currently needs two 1.5 hour naps during the day, usually 9:30/10:00-11:00/11:30 and 14:00/14:30-15:30/16:00. He's not the best at settling himself, and needs quite a lot of reassurance/milk/singing or just a long walk in the pushchair!

With the right nanny/childminder we're very happy to build up a few hours at a time, or pay for taster sessions to make sure we're right for each other.
