About Me
My lovely wife and I are looking for part-time live-out help with our 16 week old baby girl at our home in Barons Court, West London. It is our first baby, except our lovely (hypoallergenic) cat. It is just the three of us, and I work long hours in the office during the day so my wife would be very grateful for support as outlined below! We would love to have someone for immediate start and available for 6 weeks minimum.
My Requirements
Hours assistance 4 to 6 days a week (ideally 6 if available), for around 4-6 hours. The mornings are when we really need the help so typical hours would be 7.30am to 12:00.
Responsibilities would be constant supervision of the baby during these hours, including bottle feeding, nappy changing, some age-appropriate play and developmental time, putting down for a morning nap and supervising closely during the naps (following closely the safe sleep principles). Other secondary responsibilities when there is time would include baby’s laundry, sterilising bottles and equipment, and accompanying mother to baby’s medical appointments.
Background the reason this help is needed is that the mother is on maternity leave and looking after the baby during the day and at night but baby does not sleep well so mother would like to sleep for a few hours each morning from 7.30am to catch up on sleep. Father is busy working long hours (sometimes working from home).
Experience the role requires someone with extensive experience working with young babies who is reliable, honest, trustworthy with all relevant DBS checks and qualifications relating to babies including baby first aid etc.
Other must be willing to follow parents preferences regarding safe sleep habits, keeping baby monitor turned on, etc.
Pay market rate plus reasonable travel expenses each day
