About Me
I am a retired teacher who has been a part time nanny ( before and after school care Primary age group) for 5 years. I can offer Year 4+ homework help, 11+ tuition and Maths support up to GCSE level. I have a passion for making Maths make sense whatever your ability. I build confidence in the subject allowing pupils to achieve well beyond previous expectations. I can work with children as well as adults studying for Maths qualifications later in life. I have full DBS status. My experience has taught me that tutoring a pupil in their home environment works best.
My Experience
Having taught in a variety of primary and secondary settings over a 35 year teaching career (ending with 7 years teaching Year 6: 11+ entrance) I retired in 2020. Since then I have loved pursuing my own interests alongside a part-time nanny role (year 3-6) and Maths tutoring to GCSE level.
My Qualifications
9 O levels, 3 A levels, BSc (hons) degree, PGCE (Secondary Maths)
My Availability
As a tutor I can do a one of session covering a specific topic; deliver a regular afternoon/evening lesson or create a bespoke programme of 10 lessons delivered over a school holiday period.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £25.00 per hour
Maths tutoring: approx £30 per lesson. Fees depend on a pupil's age, the length of the lesson (1 hour or 1.5 hours), how many sessions are booked and the distance I need to travel. The fee includes my travel costs.
