About Me
I am a retired teacher with a passion for making Maths make sense whatever your ability. I build confidence in the subject allowing pupils to achieve well beyond previous expectations. I can work with children as well as adults studying for Maths qualifications later in life. I have full DBS status through my current work as a part time children's nanny. I find teaching a pupils in their own home, in familiar surroundings for them, always works best. My charge includes transport costs (within approx 15 miles)
My Experience
Having taught in a variety of primary and secondary settings over a 35 year teaching career (ending with 7 years teaching Year 6: 11+ entrance) I retired in 2020. I continue to tutor small numbers of pupils for 11+ exams (all papers), as well as Maths up to and including GCSE.
My Qualifications
9 O levels, 3 A levels, BSc (hons) degree, PGCE (Secondary Maths)
My Availability
I can do a regular evening lesson but I specialise in planning and delivering intensive blocks of 10 lessons over school holiday periods.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £25.00 per hour
Fees depend on a pupil's age, the length of the lesson (1 hour or 1.5 hours) and how many sessions are booked. The fee includes my travel costs.
