Nanny in Weston
My Summary
About Me
Hi there! I have over 7 years of experience as a babysitter and part-time nanny of children between one and nine years old. Moreover, I have trained and, for more than two years, volunteered as a youth leader at holiday camps for teens. Additionally, I have worked as a private language tutor for teens up to fourteen years old.
I am fluent in English, French, and German. I am a highly compassionate person with a great passion for non-violent communication. I take playtime just as seriously as your children do and I love inventing worlds together with them using just our imagination. I am energetic, proactive, and always up for trying new activities. I absolutely love seeing children explore and learn through activities such as crafting, outdoor adventures, or cooking their favourite meals. Besides that, I am an absolute bookworm, and I won’t miss an opportunity to read a book or tell a story. My calm and patient nature generally has a very soothing effect on children, toddlers, and babies.
I have recently moved to WSM to live with my partner. I have a B.Sc. degree in Psychology and I am currently studying Yoga Therapy and Ayurvedic Medicine. In recent years, I have gained a great deal of experience working as a mental health professional as well as in various environments such as restaurants, wellness and yoga studios. However, I miss working with children and therefore, I am looking to return to working as a part-time nanny while I study and grow my private practice.
My Experience
Caring for and engaging with children has always come naturally to me. I began babysitting at thirteen after completing a babysitter course and soon started helping several families in my neighborhood. One of my early experiences involved caring for Hilda, a one-year-old girl, for about four hours a week. My responsibilities included changing nappies, playing together, and taking her to the local playground. I also babysat two siblings, two-year-old Juli and four-year-old Klara, once a week in the evenings. My duties included helping them get ready for bed, reading and telling bedtime stories, and settling any arguments to create a calm environment. Around the same time, I began looking after a girl named Sophie, whom I cared for from age two until she was nine. Over the years, we developed a strong and trusting bond. My tasks with Sophie included bedtime routines, assisting at birthday parties, reading together, and singing lullabies - something she especially loved.
At fifteen, I became a youth leader volunteer, helping to organize holiday camps and weekend trips for children aged ten to fourteen. I planned and supervised indoor and outdoor activities, such as games, city excursions, and group projects, while also ensuring each child felt supported on an individual level. Later, during my A-level studies, I worked as a private language tutor for children up to fifteen years old.
After moving to the UK in 2023, I worked part-time as a nanny for three families in Bath, caring for children aged two to nine. My duties included daytime care, preparing meals, school pick-ups, playtime, and organizing holiday activities. I also have experience supporting children with special needs, including ASD and ADHD.
