**My Experience**

I have over 10 years of experience working with children in educational, childcare, and community settings.

Most recently, I worked as a nanny until March 2026, caring for two children aged 8 and 15. My responsibilities included school collections, after-school supervision, meal preparation, activity planning, emotional support, homework support, and liaising with parents and other professionals involved in the children's care.

My previous roles include Teaching Assistant, Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA), Academic Mentor, and Private Tutor. I have supported children from Reception age through to secondary school and have extensive experience working with children with SEND, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, anxiety, and SEMH needs.

Earlier in my childcare journey, I spent a year as an Au Pair in Germany, where I had sole responsibility for a 6-year-old child and also provided after-school and weekend care for children aged 8 and 11.

I have regularly volunteered at my son's nursery and primary school, reading with groups of children and assisting on school outings and educational visits. Through my involvement in fencing, I have also acted in loco parentis on trips to France, supporting groups of children aged 11–15 and ensuring their welfare, safety, and wellbeing while travelling.

Alongside my professional childcare roles, I served as Vice-Chair and Outreach Coordinator for the Islington Parent Carer Forum, supporting families of children with SEND and working collaboratively with schools, local authorities, health professionals, and community organisations.

My aim is always to provide a nurturing, structured, and positive environment where children feel safe, valued, understood, and supported to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

I am committed to ongoing professional development and am always happy to undertake further training to enhance my knowledge and childcare practice.

In my spare time I enjoy arts and crafts, singing, music, cooking, board games, imaginative play, sport, outdoor activities, mindfulness, meditation, and yoga—many of which I enjoy sharing with children through creative and engaging activities.

My Availability

AD-HOC

I am currently available for ad hoc babysitting, occasional childcare, daytime childcare, evenings, weekends, school holidays, and tutoring.

I am particularly suited to families looking for occasional, short-term, temporary, or flexible childcare arrangements rather than a long-term contracted position.
