About Me
I am very enthusiastic when it comes to creative and imaginative play. I am currently studying Childcare and Youth studies with The Open University which is enhancing my understanding of the importance of good childcare as well as prioritising the fun in play and learning. I was born and raised on my family farm having first hand experience of the opportunities that come with outdoor play. I am passionate about creating a warm, friendly and trust worthy environment in which the children and the family can feel relaxed and happy in my company.
My Experience
I have been a babysitter/ nanny to twin boys starting from when they were 2 years old to their current age of 5. Within that time I have experienced many milestones from the messiness of potty training, to the pride of seeing them count to 100 and the horror of seeing how high they could climb a tree after their first day of reception! I have been trusted with many responsibilities such as staying overnight and accompanying them to activities. I can also use my initiative to create games to play with the children as well as being open to seeing what they would like to do.
I have had further experience with other families and have experience working with children aged 6 months to 10 years of age and have been successful at adapting to the different wants and needs of those children.
My Qualifications
I have a total of 11 GCSEs graded A-C.
I have AS Levels in Sociology, Psychology, Business Studies and Welsh Baccalaureate.
I am currently enrolled in the BA (Honours) Childhood and Youth Studies. During my studying I have achieved a Distinction in an introduction to Childhood Studies and Child Psychology.
My current module is exploring perspectives on young children’s lives and learning. This focuses on children’s agency and right to participation as well as supporting their learning.
I am a part time student, so I am managing my time of study whilst being able to keep a healthy work and social balance.
My Availability
I can be very flexible and I am willing to do long hours. I am a part time student with The Open University where summer term ends at the end of May and begins again in October. I am very good at time keeping and motivation so have successfully been able to create a childcare work and university work balance.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £11.25 per hour
My rate is £11.25 per hour. With any driving I charge 45p per mile following the guidance of the Government's petrol reimbursement.
