About Me
I'm 33 and I've worked with children for the last five years but have recently changed career and am already missing it. I worked in a residential setting so have tons of experience with a wide range of needs. Would love to get to know some wee ones and their parent(s) to fit around my main job. I adore all animals so any pets would be a bonus! I'm originally from England and have been in Edinburgh for 7 years. I'm chatty, warm and friendly and have built up some amazing relationships with children and their parents over the years.
My Experience
Ten years care work - five with adults with additional needs and the last five with children, also with additional needs, such as ASD, visual impairment, and challenging behaviour. It would be lovely to work with neurotypical children too :)
My Qualifications
2:1 BA Hons Early Childhood Studies
SVQ Level 3 Social Services (Children and Young People)
Plus a lot of on job training, such as complex epilepsy, ASD, challenging behaviour, positive behaviour approaches, medication, etc.
My Availability
I've just started a Monday to Friday 9-5 job so looking for work to fit around those hours. I could do most evenings and occasional weekends. I work in the city centre and finish by 5pm. Some regular early evening hours would be ideal but I'm more than happy to work as required on weekends for folk, too :) Drop me a message if you think I could help!
