My Experience
Hello Dear family,
I am Pri, a 35 year old Brazilian woman who has a professional background as a firefighter in Brazil.
Initially I came to Edinburgh to be a volunteer with refugees from Ukraine during the initial stages of the Russian invasion. Caring and interacting with children during the times when they were being integrated into their new jobs.
I had the opportunity to look after refugee children in Germany and currently I am finishing working as an au pair with a beautiful 11 year old girl in a city 2 hours away from Edinburgh.
In Brazil, I used to babysit my friends' children and take care of my little nephews in my free time. I have considerable experience working with and supporting the development of children and young people.
I am cheerful, spontaneous, mature and thrive with the responsibility of looking after and caring for others.
Given my background experience, I am most suitable to look after babies and children up to the age of 11 years old.
My will is to integrate into a family as much as possible yet I require to have days off to spend time independently with a focus on my studies with the English language.
Currently I'm still at the beginning stages of my journey in learning the English language. However, I have never had any problems in relation to communication during this journey that I have been on now for 7 months. When necessary, I use a translator which helps me in more complex communication situations.
I have no dietary restrictions, I don't smoke and I don't drink alcohol. Keeping healthy both physically and mentally is a priority for me.
In overview; I am interested in working with and doing activities that only involve children. If other services are required of me in addition to those duties, such as domestic cleaning for example - I am open to discussing and exploring those but at an additional financial cost to the principle childcare agreement.
