About Me
Hello I’m Mckennzie and I’m 21 years old. I live at home with my parents as I have recently finished my undergraduate degree in primary education. My degree has allowed me to gain significant experience of working with children in a number of settings. I have also been working as a full time teaching assistant in a local school for the last two years. Whereby I have worked closely with numerous children with diff ent needs.
I am a young and caring person who has a passion for all things education but In my free time I love going for long walks with my dog on the beach, playing mini golf with my partner or spending time with my loved ones!
My Experience
Through my studies and job as a teaching assistant I have been able to gain a significant amount of experience of working with children as well as a number of different qualifications. As part of my role as a teaching assistant I was able to build wonderful relationships with the children in my care, as well as with staff and parents alike. I have worked closely supporting ALN within the classroom and I was able to developed wonderful, supportive relationships with these children. During this time I also toke on extra duties such as Bucket Time (Attention Autism) training and session running as well as taking responsibility for children's Intimate Care Plans. I have also recently undergone training in how to support pupils with ASD by using a wide range of communication tools. Following the course, I was proactive in creating new resources to be used in class for those who needed them.
