About Me
I am a teacher who left teaching to care for my (disabled) family. I am now looking for part time nannying work (living out). I believe in nurturing children to become productive members of society by encouraging their curiosity and not being afraid to answer difficult questions. I think its important to realise children are very smart and they pick up on things, and they will feel comfortable asking a grown they know and trust and so its important to be able to explain issues in a child friendly way.
I like to encourage playing games more so than being on the phone, although I do like some of the apps designed to boost cognitive ability. I enjoy making fruit plates and making fun snacks for children.
My Experience
I have decades of experience looking after my disabled and autistic siblings, and recently I have spent several years looking after my four cousins on a routine basis; whom I have taken care of since birth to their current ages (the oldest will be 13, the youngest will be 3). Therefore I am looking for work in the afternoons.
My Qualifications
My qualifications are all teaching related; I have a PGCE and a degree in mathematics.
