About Me

I am a very friendly and easy-going person- and am reliable in all situations (being the oldest child in my entire family, this comes easily to me). I am confident that we can work together as a team to create the best environment for your children.

I am available for the entire summer period, so would be perfect for those who need round the clock child-care for those summer holiday months!

I look forward to embracing my role as a caretaker of your child and am very respectful of the fact that I am joining your home and family. I am available for an interview at your convenience, and look forward to hearing from you soon!
I am a very bubbly and chatty person, who gets along easily with the people that I meet. I am a very open-minded person and love learning about different people and their lives. I am always eager to jump head-first into new experiences and challenges, such as having decided to head 4 hours away to Wales for my degree, which was a brand new country where I knew exactly zero people.

I am very patient and compassionate, and genuinely care about the development and well-being of children, with an easy ability to connect with little ones due to my previous work experiences. My strong communication skills enable me to effectively engage with children of various ages, and my creativity and resourcefulness ensure that I can come up with engaging activities and ideas to stimulate their learning, and have fun!

I am a very responsible person and have learnt to approach all of my duties with diligence and professionalism. My degree was completely transformed by COVID, but I managed to excel against all challenges and have since adapted this mentality in all of my roles. My positive attitude and loving nature allow me to foster a warm environment in all situations, making me an excellent fit for the rewarding and fulfilling role of an au pair or nanny.

My Experience

I have had many experiences working with and alongside children, having done previous work experience in St Mary's Primary School in Ashford- working with children ranging from 6 to 8 years old. In this class I spent a lot of one-on-one time with the individual children, playing and helping them with their learning and development skills. I also frequently attended to large groups of children, when on playground duty.

During my time at sixth form, I also spent voluntary afternoons working at a local school with reception children, Although these children were younger than those I previously had worked with, I developed a deep understanding of their needs and had a knack for creating a fun and supportive environment. I effectively assisted the lead teacher in implementing engaging educational activities. I used my patience and ability to adapt to different learning styles in order to properly support each child.

I have also previously babysitter my much younger cousins, as well as local parents who needed some extra childcare support. I have experience with a huge range of children, each with entirely different personalities and requirements. I take extra care to ensure an extra level of trust with any child so that they feel super comfortable with me, which is my main goal at all times!

My Qualifications

I graduated from Cardiff University in 2021, where I achieved a first-class honours degree in History. Prior to that, I went to Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Faversham, where I achieved four 'A' results in my four A-level subjects, and 12 GCSEs from A*-B, including English, Maths and Science. I have previously worked in Jack Wills retail store in Ashford Designer Outlet, and subsequently as a waitress Halfway House Pub when trying to save up during my degree.

At St Mary's Primary School, my roles included leading my own reading groups, overseeing playground duty, aiding the teacher with clean-up in the classroom, and teaching the children a variety of different skills. I was given large amounts of responsibility, overseeing the children's safety and care throughout the days.

My Availability

Fully available but would require some weekend evenings off. Also busy for one week in August 8-15th.
