About Me
My name is Matthew Colledge, I am almost 20 years old and I have a passion for childcare. When I was 18 months old I was diagnosed with a soft tissue cancer and have been living with a hidden disability (I look like anyone else) my whole life. Going through life with a disability has given me my passion for childcare and I wish to help others for a living. I am reliable, responsible and dedicated to what I do.
My Experience
During my college courses I spent 5 months on placement in a primary school looking after children in reception and in year 1. After completing my college courses I have been working at a nursery in Daventry for the last 6 months. I have some special needs experience through family and working at a nursery and I would like to work in the special needs sector in the future.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social care from the rugby college, I completed this course in 2021. I also have a Level 2 Qualification in Childcare from the rugby college, which I completed in 2022. Since then I have been working at a nursery in Daventry gaining experience.
My Availability
Currently (20/06/23) I am working at a nursery in Daventry through the week. I am however looking for something more stable and closer to home, therefore I’m available for negotiation over weekdays.
