About Me

I am a 28-year-old Pilates teacher, dance teacher, and dance artist based in Chorlton. With a passion for both creativity and physical activity, I find great joy in working with children. I am currently seeking opportunities in babysitting and to work in schools where I can utilise my skills and experience.

Having worked with children in schools and youth clubs, I have gained valuable experience in interacting with young people. I bring a creative and fun approach to my work, whether it involves facilitating engaging activities or assisting with homework. My goal is to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children, allowing them to explore their own creativity and develop their skills.

I strongly believe in the importance of personal growth and development for children. As an advocate for individualised care, I strive to ensure that each child receives the attention and care they need to build self-confidence and enhance their abilities. I am dedicated to fostering an environment where children feel encouraged to express themselves and explore their unique talents.

In summary, I am an energetic and creative individual who thrives on working with children. With my background in Pilates, dance, teaching and being an artist, I bring a unique set of skills to the table. I am passionate about helping children in their journey of personal growth and development, and I am eager to contribute to their overall well-being.

My Experience

Over the past four years, I have had the privilege of working with children in various capacities, gaining valuable experience along the way. It all began in London when I joined Adrenaline Dance as a dance teacher, teaching children dance and creative movement.

One of the most rewarding experiences in my journey was working with the refugee community for the Ellan Hathaway Dance Company. In this role, I learned how to effectively teach non-verbally to groups of children whose first language was not English. It was a wonderful opportunity to adapt my teaching methods and find alternative ways to communicate and connect with the children.

In addition to my work with Adrenaline Dance and Ellan Hathaway Dance Company, I have collaborated with organisations like The Lowry and Company Chameleon. These experiences have exposed me to a diverse range of settings, from schools to youth clubs and in-house sessions. I have been entrusted with the responsibility of engaging children in creative activities, facilitating their growth and development in various environments.

In schools and youth clubs, I have had the opportunity to introduce children to the world of dance, sharing the beauty and freedom of contemporary dance with them. Through carefully crafted lessons and exercises, I strive to ignite their passion for movement and encourage them to explore their own creativity.

I am currently involved with Jive Prints, where I assist children in schools with printmaking. This new venture has added another dimension to my work, allowing me to explore different forms of artistic expression.

I am always looking how to develop my skills by attending talks and workshops myself. I had the amazing opportunity to get commissioned by Curious Minds - a charity which works with artists, teachers and schools to help facilitate creative sessions for young people in the Northwest. Through this commission I attended training sessions which taught me about pedagogy, different types of learning, working with children with certain needs and I delivered a 4 day intensive workshop to local children in Bolton.

Overall, my four years of experience working with children have equipped me with a deep understanding of their needs, interests, and challenges. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to contribute to their personal and artistic growth, and I am excited to continue making a difference in their lives.
