About Me
I am a kind, patient and qualified (B.Ed degree) Tutor of mathemtics and English for children in Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 (English only). I have 15+ years of experience teaching in schools and as a private tutor. Working with parents and pupils I plan enjoyable and engaging lessons to suit each child's learning needs taking into account their interests and preferred learning styles. Where possible, depending on age and ability, I use games and practical activities to help each child's understanding and promote their confidence.
My Experience
Over 10 years working as a teacher and teaching assistant in primary schools in Christchurch, Dorset and Nantwich, Cheshire. I also have experience of working with Key Stage 3 students in a Bournemouth secondary school. After my experience in state schools I have worked as a tutor (7+ years) with children in both Dorset and Cheshire..the youngest 5 years and the oldest 16 years. I have recently returned to Dorset/Hampshire area and can now offer support to students in the area.

I can offer after school tuition Monday to Friday 4pm-6pm or, for home schooled students during school hours subject to availability.
