My Summary

My Experience

I most recently worked with the education charity IntoUniversity, for 2 and a half years. As part of my role, I delivered workshops to students aimed at increasing their knowledge of future pathways available to them, developing different learning techniques and raising aspirations. I also provided one to one support with students' academic work and was responsible for organising and running trips (including 3 day trips with overnight stays for up to 30 students at a time).

Previous to that, I worked as a tutor at the University of Glasgow where I ran seminar style sessions for S5 and S6 students who were interested in applying for Higher Education. This required me to teach and assess students ability to complete university style work, such as critical essays or lab reports.

I also taught for one year in South Africa after leaving school.

Whilst in school, I worked as a nanny and babysitter for family friends.

My Qualifications

I attended the University of Glasgow for both my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. I studied Zoology at undergraduate level and Conservation Management at postgraduate (receiving an upper second class degree and merit, respectively). I also received 5 A's at Higher.
