About Me
I am a compassionate, sensitive individual with a good track record of getting on kids' level. I'm currently studying a Master's at the Glasgow School of Art and supporting my studies with childminding work. I am good at listening to childrens' needs and able to give my full attention to them alongside establishing rules and boundaries. With my focus of art I am inventive and care about developing children's imagination through play. I am invested in supporting children to through each stage of development, informed by my memories of influential these periods are on myself, which I also explore in my creative work.
My Experience
Since 2017, I have worked as a private children's art tutor, developing one-on-one relationships through creating individualised projects and supporting students' skills and confidence. Through 2019-2020, I worked as a children's art workshop facilitator, leading large groups of children from the ages of 3 through to groups of teenagers, including sessions alongside workshops with London Symphony Orchestra. In 2020, while travelling, I delivered art workshops to young children in Wellington, New Zealand. More recently, I have worked as a independent childminder for children aged 6-13, developing rapport and trust with a good sense of humour and open-mindedness.
My Qualifications
I am DBS checked. I am educated up Master's level.
My Availability
I am available outsidey studying hours which are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and occasionally Monday afternoons. I don't work on Sundays.
