About Me
Hi,
I'm Emma, the face behind Simply Early Years - Billinge.
I decided to take the leap of faith and exited the Early Years classroom after the birth of my son in September last year.
Teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) has been my passion for over ten years and I have now created my own little Early Years haven within my home.
My Experience
10+ years Teacher specialising in Early Years Education.
Delivering Forest School Sessions to Nursery-aged children.
Delivering intervention groups for personal, social and emotional development (PSED), communication and language, physical development, reading, writing, phonics and maths.
Creating Special Educational Needs (SEN) plans to support individual children.
Delivering language intervention activities to support children with English as an additional language (EAL).
Mentor for PGCE Trainee Teacher students.
Delivering Literacy & Maths workshops for Nursery parents.
Delivering 'Stay and Play' sessions for Reception parents.
2 years' experience in a private daycare nursery setting working in the baby room, toddler room, age 2-3's room and pre-school room.
Incorporating daily Makaton signing with all children.
My provision reflects my 10+ years of teaching in Early Years and focuses on child-led education, early child development, outdoor learning/forest school, early communication and Makaton signing and helping children to become 'school ready'.

Undergraduate Degree in Early Childhood studies (BAHons)
Post Graduate Certificate in Early Years Education (PGCEY)
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Paediatric First Aid Trained (St. John's Ambulance)
