About Me
I am hugely passionate in gaining a career working with children. I have always been actively involved with children as my mum was a childminder, I have always loved helping her to look after the children in her care, it has enabled me to have an understanding of working in the care industry and I have gained experience in doing so.
Within my 2 years at college, i had a placement in a primary school alongside 2 days a week as part of our qualification. I worked with children of the ages 4-5.
I became a very valued member of the reception class i worked in and loved every second of being there.
I am paediatric first aid trained and took a course in college for this.
I travelled to Italy with my college course and visited nurseries out their which incorporated different approaches, and experienced both a Montessori nursery and primary school.
My Experience
I have occasionally babysat for several families.
In 2019 when I was in year 9 we were given the opportunity to take home a virtual baby to test our skills. This assessment was given to us to see how well we could handle and care for a new-born baby, the virtual baby was given to me on a Friday till Sunday and everything we did for the baby was monitored within the baby.
The baby was programmed with a medium difficulty, it had to have correct neck support, attentiveness and how long it took to respond to its crying ,sleep positions, how often it was rocked, fed, winded, nappy changed ,and dressed correctly with ensuring its temperature, it would also monitor if it was roughly handled or shaken too,
At the end of the weekend I got the results once I returned to school, my results were 100% and became the only individual in the class of 30 to achieve this grade.
My Qualifications
NCFE Cache Technical Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. (Equivalent to 3 A levels)

I am available Monday-Friday Morning through to evenings.
