I am a very hard working experienced nanny looking for my next lovely family to work with.
I have a deep interest in psychology, child psychology & development and I plan to do more training in this field.
Having had my own child I feel I have a deep understanding of the trust parents show in employing a nanny and having them work from their home. I feel it is a great privilege to be entrusted with the task of helping you care for and raise your child. As a mother I have a new respect for parents and the many battles they go through in raising children and working.
I have been described by past employers as an exceptional nanny who gives more than they'd have hoped for, this can be read in my references which can be provided on request.
I am a very outdoorsy, arty, nature loving person who believes in exercising our bodies and minds and encouraging children to explore the world around them.
I am very organised and take a keen interest in cooking and healthy lifestyles approaches.
I am warm and affectionate, playful and inventive whilst maintaining a calm and professional attitude to my work.
My Experience
I have over twelve years experience working with children and nannying. I have also been happy to provide housekeeping and animal care support to parents.
I have worked with families who have children with special care needs. I have had training from community nurses and taken courses in order to assist my understanding in these roles.
I have worked for many very busy families with demanding careers requiring them to travel internationally leaving me with sole charge of young children and teenagers. I supported one family by flying their children out to them in China and supporting them there while they were working.
I have worked with two families whose children had life impacting illnesses requiring very special care and support. I have supported children who not only suffer physically but mentally from their illness and ongoing treatment. I have worked closely with their medical teams and have been trained to change colostomy bags, administer complex medication, prepare nasogastric feeding equipment, carry out aspiration checks, monitor food allergies and also support them with self harming, PTSD and challenging behaviour. With these families I have shown great flexibility and adaptability. I have always been dedicated to giving 110% to the families I work for providing focussed, consistent and dependable support.
I have worked with families with twins and adopted children. I have supported families very soon after adopting and have studied attachment theory and how to support trauma in children.
I have worked with newborns (and had my own child) through to teenagers and many families with a mix of ages. I have also supporting children and young people at dance classes and through working with various different school.
