About Me
Hi, I’m Lucy I am 25 years old and a Mum of 2 beautiful girls aged 4 & 2 who are my absolute world. I have currently been off work for the last four years, bringing up my children and my husband has been the one to work . My eldest started school in September and I am now looking for a little job that I am able to have my little girl with me as I am not ready to leave her just yet. I absolutely love being outside and I am on the go everyday with my girls visiting soft play, parks, the woods, swimming, farms, toddler groups and many more places. I would love to find a job where I can look after another child who can play with my little girl during the day and we can go out and have fun and make lots of memories. I have never left my children with anybody else so I know how hard it must be to find the right person, if you feel that I may be the right person for your child then please feel free to message me.
My Experience
I Don’t have any qualifications in childcare, however, I have grown up with my mum being a childminder for 22 years and have helped her a lot with lots of different children of all ages and needs. I meet up with my mum a lot so there will be lots of social interactions with other children. I have grown up in a very big family with 4 sisters and have 2 nieces and 7 nephews, so have been a very big part of their lives. I am also a mum myself so have a lot of experience with children. From September 2023- February 2024 I did look after a little boy Monday to Thursday where my little girl came with me but he has now started nursery full time.
My Qualifications
I don’t hold any qualifications in childcare itself. However, I do have 8 GCSEs, 4 A levels and also attended university for 1 year studying health and social care. I do however have a lot of experience with children and understand that every child is different.
I also have a level 2 certificate in understanding behaviour that challenges.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday. My little girl will start school at 8:40 am, so I am able to get to most places in MK by 9am or I am happy to have other children at my home.
She will finish school at 3 pm so will need to collect her however I do drive and have 3 car seats strapped in so I can drive to collect her and come back to somebody’s house or I can look into after school clubs for her on some days depending on the hours somebody needs. If somebody is needing school pick ups and the school is local to my little girls then I could look into that.
