Introduction
I am looking for a support worker for my 2 sons.
My youngest son is 8, he is autistic, PDA and ADHD. His needs are quite complex, and he can display quite challenging behaviours.
My eldest son is 10 and has ADHD and sensory processing needs. He can be very impulsive.
Both children are very active, so it is important that you are too!
If you are adventurous and enjoy hands on activities such as rock climbing, high ropes, water sports, rollercoasters and busy fun filled days out this may be the job for you!
My Requirements
Must have some knowledge and experience of sensory processing difficulties, ideally including PDA (pathological demand avoidance) ASD (autism) and ADHD to support both children. I would consider someone who is very open minded and willing to learn about these conditions.
The role would involve;
• To provide 1-1 support for a few hours after school to do activities such as park trips or swimming.
• To provide support to both children on day trips at weekends to theme parks, zoos, flip out etc, alongside mum.
• To provide support to both children on day trips during school holidays alongside mum
• When relationships have been built, to provide 1-1 support on day trips during weekends or school holidays independently with 1 child.
