About Me
Hi, I’m Phoebe, and I am an 18 year old gap year student. I have had lots of roles working with children in the past, I am a creative and kind person which makes me ideal for childcare. I get on very well with children because of my fun and bubbly personality, which is perfect as I am always able to engage with children and create a good rapport with them. I have just finished my A Levels at Colchester Sixth Form College, and I am due to start my degree in Psychology at the University of Surrey in September 2024.
My Experience
I have had many roles, past and present, working with children. I currently work at Stagecoach Sudbury on a Saturday morning as an Early Stages assistant, which means helping children ages 4-7 learn basic skills of performing arts, build up their confidence, and most importantly, to have fun!
I also currently volunteer as a Cubs leader at Hadleigh Sea Scouts, and this role involves introducing slightly older children, ages 8-10 1/2, to Scoutcraft and activities.
Furthermore, I worked as a gymnastics coach at Hadleigh Stars Gymnastics for 4 years, and this role involved helping children from ages 4-10 to develop their gymnastics skills, whilst I developed my teaching skills.
My Qualifications
I complete safeguarding training for my work with early stages, this includes modules such as ‘appropriate touch’. I am also DBS checked for Stagecoach and Scouts.
My Availability
I am available all day every weekday except Thursday evenings (6.30-8) due to volunteering. I am also available Saturday afternoon (2.30pm onwards) and Sunday.
