Hello, I'm Andrew Morris. I have perviously been a lifeguard & aquatics instructor for over 13 years. I have vast experience working with a wide age range of children from 2 years - teenagers.
I have also spent a few months working in a nursery local to the pool I was working at which allowed me to gain more experience around babies and toddlers.
My Experience
Lifeguarding
Being a lifeguard has allowed me to develop skills that aren't know to people in every day life. Being able to spot dangers early, to intervene before the harm befalls that individual and always being alert is something a skill I'm very lucky to have. Safety is number one.
Being a lifeguard has also taught me vast skills such as CPR, defibrillator, EpiPen and choking training. These are skills I will carry with me for the rest of my life, because of how important they are to know. You never know when these things will happen and It's incredibly important to know what to do if it does arise.
Aquatics Instructor
Being an aquatics instructor for so long has allows me the opportunity to work with an incredibly vast array of individuals. From fun and games to challenging and resourceful, I have had my fair share of fun times, hard times and challenging times. From day to day, no two days will ever be the same. Being able to know this, see this and adapt to this, is something I pride myself in. The ability to completely switch things up and adapt to a situation is something that has developed over many years working with children and young adults.
