My name is Sally, and I am delighted that you are considering giving me the privilege of caring for your child. I live with my husband, Westley, and our 11-year-old daughter, Blossom. Westley is a builder with a passion for cooking, having been a chef in his youth. Blossom attends colleges, plays piano and loves spending time with younger children. We also have an older daughter, Lily, who lives in Tavistock, and are blessed to have a number of wider family members living locally.
My Experience
I have worked in the childcare industry for over 30 years, 20 as a primary school teacher. Although I have enjoyed an amazing career in teaching and loved every minute, I have chosen to change my career to provide care for children in my own home. As a teacher, my practice with children will always have a strong emphasis on development and learning. Children of all ages can expect to be challenged and encouraged to be deeply curious about the world around them, whilst experiencing the highest quality care and attention at all times.
My Qualifications
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher and have the following qualifications:
- Post Graduate Certificate of Education
- BA English Literature
- Level 3 Paediatric First Aid
- Level 3 Safeguarding
- Level 2 Food Hygiene
My Availability
My childminding service operates between 7.30am and 6.30pm weekdays. I provide care for children between the ages of 0-3 years during school term times and 0-12 years during half terms and summer holidays. I do not work during the Easter or Christmas school holidays. Half term and summer holiday childcare includes additional tutoring options for school-aged children to ensure their next school term gets off to a flying start.
