I started babysitting for neighbors and family friends when I was 15. During these early years, I honed my skills in providing children with a safe and enjoyable environment. My responsibilities ranged from preparing nutritious meals to giving baths and tucking them in at bedtime. My top priority has always been the well-being and happiness of the children in my care.

My dedication to childcare blossomed further when I took on the role of a residential summer camp leader. In this capacity, I had the privilege of overseeing groups of over 40 children in both educational and fun settings. I crafted engaging learning activities, encouraged lively debates and discussions, and fostered a fun and creative atmosphere. My ability to think on my feet and adapt to various situations quickly became one of my strengths. Additionally, I had the responsibility of ensuring the children's safety and well-being as part of a collaborative team.

My experience extends to being a live-in and live-out nanny, where I supported children in their daily routines. This included picking them up from school, assisting with homework, preparing nutritious meals, and facilitating bedtime routines. My approach has always been centered on creating a nurturing and comfortable environment in which children can thrive.

During my undergraduate studies, I also worked as a playworker at an after-school club in Brighton, where I cared for children aged 4 to 12. This role allowed me to connect with children of various ages, ensuring that their after-school hours were filled with engaging activities and positive interactions.

In the past year, I had the privilege of working as a teaching assistant in the Special Educational Needs (SEN) department of a school in London. This experience gave me valuable insights into supporting students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and those on the SEN register. It reinforced my commitment to providing tailored care and support to children with diverse needs.

To further reassure you of my qualifications, I am fully DBS checked, first aid trained, and possess food safety certifications. Safety and well-being are my utmost priorities, and I take these responsibilities seriously.

My Qualifications

I am educated to a degree level and am studying for a masters. I am DBS checked, and have undergone trainings in UKGOV PREVENT, Recognising and Preventing FGM, Level 2 Award in Food Safety (Early Years), DBS qualified, Full Paediatric First Aid (2021). I have received certificates in 'Helping unlock the potential of SEN students' and 'Building positive relationships to manage the behavior of students with SEND'.

As I am studying, I am looking for work that will fit into my university timetable and independent study.
