About Me
I am 26 years old. Born in Lima, Peru in '97. Came to London, UK in 2004. I know both English and Spanish, though since I've lived in the UK longer, I'm afraid my English is better than my Spanish.
I love and am comfortable with animals of any kind. So no pet will surprise me, not even snakes or tarantulas.
I have training in self-defence, though they are the very basics of boxing and jiu-jitsu, so I can teach a few things about that, though once again... the very basics.
I am healthy and have no allergies. Though, I do take medication for depression due to trauma from a difficult childhood. That being said, those struggles are also the reason I've developed a strong care, passion, and devotion for children, their development and safety.
But above all else, I am a devout Christian. I am also a member and occasional volunteer (helping with children and facilities) of my local church. On top of that, I run and help to run a couple of groups/ministries of the church.
My Experience
I am a youth and children's worker for a Christian charity that works as a family centre. My role is to run and help to run a variety of clubs and activities for children and teenagers, mainly between ages 4-16, but occasionally under or over (throughout the week).
I have also done some babysitting for friends in the past.
My Qualifications
I have worked for the family centre charity for about 3 years.
I have volunteered for the same organisation for 5 years and Sunday school in my church for about 2 years.
During the time I've volunteered and worked with children/youth, I have committed to several courses in an effort to further my skills and understanding in childcare. For example: an introduction to pediatric first aid course, a nutrition and health course, several health/safety and safeguarding trainings/courses.
