My Experience

I have had lots of experience as a Nanny in Australia. I was awarded the 'Runner-up Nanny of the year' award from my government nanny agency. My first family that I cared for was a family with newborn twins, a 2 yro and a 4 yro. I was in charge of caring for them from 8am-6pm, Mon-Fri. I did this for 8 months until they moved state.
I prepared their food, put them to sleep, bathed them, clothed them, did activities with them, took them to pre-school, encouraged development in the twins, took them to swimming amongst many other things. I also was a support system to the mother as she adjusted to having 4 children. I did all the housework too while the mum recovered and rested.
My second experience was with another set of 2 yro twins, and a 3 yro. I had very similar responsibilities with them, although this role included a lot more appointments such as occupational and speech therapy which I was involved in.
For a brief period, I worked with triplets as well which brought a new level of challenge, but was a great and valuable experience.
I also worked with a 4 yro boy with cerebral palsy in which I had to care for him and ensure he was getting the right care for his condition.
The most recent family I worked with had a 4 yro son with Autism and a 1 yro. I had to do a lot of regulating emotions with him, activities that stimulate him but don't overwhelm him, more OT and speech therapy. It was an amazing experience and I really value all the time I have had to work with these families.

My Qualifications

I have a Cert IIII in Early Childhood education & Care. I had to do a daycare placement for this qualification.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £11.00 per hour
• Nannying from £12.00 per hour (gross)

In Australia I was earning 17GBP per hour. However, I am happy to lower the price here as I'm aware there are wage differences. I would be looking for around 13-16GBP and happy to discuss further.
