Having four children of my own (including twins), I have a good understanding of childcare, development and behavior from newborn to late teens. In particular, I am able to multi-task. Additional skills include administration and keyboard mastery of copy typing standard for transcripts and also management of household finances if required. I am very active and like to keep fit usually by cycling or brisk walking.
My last position was with a lovely family of 3 generations helping with household chores including fridge defrosting, oven cleaning, sewing buttons, ironing, as well as occasionally looking after grandchildren and making light snacks.
I have current enhanced DBS and registered with the update service.
My Experience
Homeshare and supported Living in domiciliary care for elderly asthmatic gentleman with OCD and early dementia.
• Provide ‘Tea and Chat’ companionship, accompany to hospital appointments, shopping and leisure activities such as library, chess club etc.
• Prepare simple meals observing dietary requirements and reminder to take medication.
• Maintain clean dust free environment alternate day damp dusting main living areas
principally lounge, kitchen and bedroom
• Laundry, ironing as required, monthly deep cleaning of kitchen and bathroom
• Deal with any minor maintenance or repair issues engaging appropriate tradesmen as
directed.
• Manage household budget, maintaining strict and accurate record of all
expenditure with supporting receipts.
