Hi, I'm Sofia, I am from Lisbon, Portugal. I have been living in London for 13 years. My life story has shaped me into the resilient and compassionate individual that I am today. Growing up, I was incredibly fortunate to have a loving and supportive family, which provided me with a strong foundation and a great education.
As a child, I was always surrounded by my extended family and cousins, and we would spend hours playing and having fun together. Also by the time my younger sister was born, we had a significant age gap of 12 years and I would sometimes babysit her when my parents were away, forming a strong bond that continues to this day.
Currently, I am working and studying simultaneously, striving to improve myself both personally and professionally.
One interesting thing about me is that people often mistake me for someone much younger than my actual age of 32. I guess I have a youthful appearance that tends to surprise people! I absolutely love spending time with my young cousins, who are 5, 9, and 12 years old. Whenever we have holidays, we engage in fun and playful activities, creating unforgettable memories filled with laughter and joy.
Throughout the ups and downs of life, I've remained optimistic and dedicated to my family. I value connection and happiness in all aspects of life and always strive to nurture and support those around me.
My Experience
I worked 10 hours plus a week. I look after my cousins and sister. My main responsibilities were picking them up from school, cooking, helping out with homework, doing fun activities, like playing cards, arts and crafts, legos, board games, singing Disney songs reading bedtime stories, and getting them ready for bed.
My Qualifications
I don't currently have CPR or First Aid certification, but I'm doing my best to obtain it as quickly as possible. As mentioned earlier, I have some experience working with children. I am patient and flexible, understanding that each child is unique, and I am capable of adapting to different situations and handling unexpected events calmly. Additionally, I am creative and skilled in problem-solving. I can engage children in creative and stimulating activities that are both educational and fun, as well as handle any issues or conflicts that may arise. I am attentive and a good listener, and I have a natural ability to connect with children and understand their emotions.
